My name is Max Coblentz, and I am excited to announce my campaign for Ward 7 Auburn City Council. I moved to Auburn as a student in 2003 and have lived here ever since. I truly believe there is no better community to live, work, and raise a family than in this growing town. I have worked in banking since graduating from Auburn University, and I have served this community in various roles throughout my career. My wife, Caroline, and I have two daughters and a son. We are excited to get more involved in Auburn City Schools, as my eldest child will start Kindergarten at Auburn Early Ed in the fall.
I am excited about this possible opportunity to advocate for the people of Ward 7 in Auburn. I believe this isn’t the beginning of my service to Auburn, but just a continuation of the years of service to the community that I love. I desire to serve in Auburn where Caroline and I have chosen to raise our family, and where I hope to one day retire.
First, I will continue to strongly support Auburn City Schools and hope to continue its leading reputation as one of the best public school systems in the state. I also want to focus on creating more family amenities and improve our existing attractions for families. Lastly, I want to continue to see Auburn become the best place to start, expand, or move a business. I have worked with businesses of all sizes in the last fifteen years, and I truly have a passion for watching small businesses succeed. I hope to make Auburn the best place to see small businesses thrive.
As our community is growing we are facing changes and possible challenges. I hope to be a part of ensuring Auburn’s future builds on the foundation of a thriving local economy and reputable school system to only become better!
